Abstract

Structuring the environment is one of the efforts to improve the cleanliness and beauty that will increase thelevel of public health. Conditions of transition after the relocation is often a change in attitude, even the lack ofcommitment to appear again on a new location or on the job. Thus, research of the commitment of traders in BuluMarket, Semarang city is needed to know the sales post-relocation. The subject of this research is the traders in BuluMarket. The samples are all traders who sell in the two-storey of Bulu Market with the number traders are 102respondents. The data are primary data and secondary data of Bulu Market office in Area III. The methods used in thisresearch are descriptive and qualitative methods. The result shows that: 75% of permanent traders agree on affectivecommitment, while 25% said very agree; on the other hand; non- permanent traders agree on the affective commitmentis 94%, while 4% said very agree; continuance commitment of permanent traders are 3.85% is neutral, 61.54% isagree and 34.62% is very agree; continuance commitment of non- permanent traders are 2% is neutral, 90% is agree,and 8% is very agree; normative commitment of permanent traders showed 46.15% is neutral and 53.85% is disagree,and normative commitment indicates that 32% of non-permanent traders is neutral and 66% of traders are agree. Theconclusions of this study indicate that all traders in the two-storey in Bulu market Semarang have quite high affectivecommitment, continuance and normative, but traders have inconsistency between the attitudes with behavior.Meanwhile, the main reason traders change to move to the 2nd floor is the lack of buyers, which resulted in decreasingthe amount of their income. therefore, the suggestion is making group of goods sold, so there is no one type of traders ina hangar.
